While attending a Bridal Fair to begin preparing for my daughter's wedding, we happened to see one of her former high school friends, Melissa Downey. She informed us that she was the owner of the Wedding Cottage in Beaverton and invited us to see her items there on display and come by her store, as well.
I cannot begin to tell you how much help Melissa and her staff provided. They answered questions about etiquette, gave advice about concerns, and made helpful suggestions. Melissa spent so much time helping us pick just the right invitations that turned out beautifully. I found out later that there had been a spelling error in the printing. Melissa handled the problem and it was resolved before I was even aware of it. She knew that the mother of the bride does not need any extra stress.
We were able to find not just wedding and rehearsal dinner invitations, but also a variety of other items. The ring bearer pillow, flower girl basket, guest book and favors, and beautiful silver monograms for the cake top. What a fun store in which to shop. Thank you, Melissa, for your help in making the wedding so special.

The Wedding Cottage is one of the few "true" bridal shops in the Portland metro area where you can find all things that make a wedding special---invitations, guest books, wedding favors, attendant gifts, the list goes on! The service here is exceptional. The staff are truly experts in the area of wedding planning and they do a great job of helping make your day big day genuinely special. Planning a wedding can be very expensive, but The Wedding Cottage helps make it affordable by offering items in a variety of price ranges...invitations are a good example. I would definitely recommend The Wedding Cottage to anyone in need of invitations. The selection is wonderful, you can see what you're getting, and you have experts on hand to help with the wording. You can't go wrong! All of the ladies who work at The Wedding Cottage are great to work with...very professional, nice, and accommodating. I was turned on to The Wedding Cottage by my "married friends." Never could I have imagined there were so many wedding goodies. This store has everything you need to plan and have the most beautiful wedding you could imagine. The staff is incredibly helpful and offers great advice. The store is easily shoppable and the pricing is realistic. The owner has a special knack for this business, she remembers clients and offers up some brilliant advice, not to mention has a great knowledge of wedding etiquette. I ordered my invites from here and they are beautiful. The order process was quick and painless. I have ordered more stuff from the store and I can't wait to see how beautiful everything turns out. The Wedding Cottage is a "gem" of a find for corporate invitations. After looking endlessly for a stylish invitation for a corporate event, I stopped in at the Wedding Cottage. I was greeted by Melissa and her staff who were genuinely warm, friendly and very knowledgeable about their products and services. This is the third year I've used them and will continue to do so.
