Our mission is to be the premiere Portland wedding invitation and accessory provider while offering superior customer service. We strive to create relationships and a connection with our clients that stems beyond the transaction. We aspire to be knowledgeable in the wedding industry and ultimately be a resource for our customers.

About the owner...

My interest in the wedding industry began with a part-time job at The Wedding Cottage while I attended Central Catholic High School in Portland. As I worked with customers to find the perfect accessories to complete their wedding plans, I found joy and success in assisting brides realize their dreams, regardless of budget.

I continued working at The Wedding Cottage, sometimes for a paycheck and sometimes just to help, while earning a Bachelors degree in Marketing and Management at The University of Portland. After graduating, I left The Wedding Cottage to pursue a marketing career outside the wedding industry. After the novelty of the new career wore off, I began to miss the customer interaction and delight in helping brides plan their dream wedding. I then realized where my passion really was, and soon returned to The Wedding Cottage, this time as its owner.

When my husband Jason and I became owners of The Wedding Cottage in 2005, I had high hopes of what this store could become with the right merchandise and a new attitude. With my passion and creativity, I set to work cleaning and painting, re-structuring the stores layout, and ordering the latest accessories brides need to make their wedding day complete. With everything literally under one roof, I knew brides and grooms would find this Portland bridal boutique an absolute treasure.

With over 10 years' experience in helping customers plan their weddings, and personal experience in planning my own, I feel I have a knack for this industry. To appeal to a larger audience, I make sure we carry a large variety of contemporary and traditional items in stock. I attend wedding industry meetings and annual shows for gifts, accessories, and stationary. I am also a member of industry associations to keep updated on color and overall bridal trends.

It is extremely important to me that everyone finds what they need here, and I enjoy seeing the relief on our customers' faces when they realize we have the best selection of invitations and bridal accessories in Portland, as well as all of the tools to help them get through this fun but sometimes stressful time.

My husband Jason and I were married October 9, 2004 at Saint Mary's Cathedral of the Immaculate Conception in Portland, Oregon. Our reception was held at Oswego Lake Country Club in Lake Oswego. Since 2000, Jason has worked as a financial advisor and we utilize his business expertise in running The Wedding Cottage.
